Meal for a meal

Last year, I was very proud to help Virgin Mobile Australia and OzHarvest launch Meal for a Meal – a wonderful campaign, turning food photos posted to social media with the #mealforameal hashtag into real meals for people in need.

I joined in the good fun, as part of my #ChallengeRichard quest, after Virgin Mobile Australia tweeted: We challenge you to snap and tag your next six meals #mealforameal. Here are my food snaps, which I posted to Instagram during my recent trip to Australia and Vietnam.

More than two million Australians rely on food relief each year. The planet produces enough food to feed everyone, however perfectly good food often goes to waste and ends up in landfill. OzHarvest takes this food and delivers it to charity organisations who feed people in need.

You can help too. Get snapping, and post your pictures to Instagram, Twitter or Facebook with the #mealforameal hashtag. Every food pic counts... even beans on toast.

That ticks off challenge number 11 of my #ChallengeRichard quest. Don’t forget to keep sending in your challenges.
