Virgin Media Business supplies Dublin students with high-speed internet access

Virgin Media Business has announced the delivery of high-speed internet access to 2,000 Dublin students, living within the Uninest Student Residences accommodation.

As part of the deal, Virgin Media will supply each student accommodation residence with download and upload speeds of 1GB, smart WiFi and a separate dedicated network for students and staff. There will also be a separate dedicated network for guests to use while they’re visiting family and friends.

"Students tell us that high-speed, reliable internet provision is one of their top priorities, which is why we’ve chosen Virgin Media as our partner to supply broadband and WiFi to our first five residences across Dublin. The smart door entry systems which form part of the contract will also ensure the security of those living with us," commented Joe Persechino, Commercial Operations Director, EMEA - New Markets & Product.

"Virgin Media is delighted to be providing high-speed internet access to some 2,000 students across Uninest’s five city centre student accommodation locations," said Paul Farrell, Vice President of Commercial at Virgin Media. "With 1GB connectivity, smart distributed WiFi, and separate dedicated networks for students, staff and guests in all five residences, students will have their internet needs matched whatever they may be."
