Sam Bird keeps up Formula E title hopes in Zurich

DS Virgin Racing’s Sam Bird keeps his Formula E championship hopes alive in Switzerland, securing second place on the podium.

The British driver was able to reduce the lead of title rival Jean-Eric Vergne to 23 points, with two rounds left to race - both of which take place in New York in a month’s time. You can check out the highlights from the latest round below.

“We had a little bit of luck today but even so the whole team did a fantastic job to get the result and leave in this position where we’ll be fighting for the title in New York,” commented Bird. “We know what happened there last year! Now I know what we need to do; I need to beat him [Vergne] in the first race, and if I can do that then we have a shot at the title.”
