V Festival returns to Weston Park (Staffordshire) and Hylands Park (Chelmsford) this weekend – and we can’t wait to see Jay Z and P!nk take the stage over the weekend.
Jay Z will headline the main stage in Weston on Saturday and Hylands on Sunday, showcasing his decades of hits in his only 2017 European show. He’s smashed global chart records throughout his 20-year music career and is one of the most successful artists of all time, having taken home 21 Grammy awards so far. He’s bound to be bringing some of his biggest hits including fan favourite 99 Problems and we’re hoping to hear some new material from his 4:44 album, which was released in June.
2017 marks 10 years since P!nk last performed at V Festival and she’ll be taking to the stage in Chelmsford on Saturday and Staffordshire on Sunday. The singer recently released new single, What About Us, and her first album in five years is due to be released on October 13th so we’re expecting to hear some brand new tracks as well as all the favourites from her repertoire.
Alongside the headliners, Stormzy will return to the main stage after his extremely popular set last year. His debut album reached number one in the charts after it was released in February this year and recently finished a sold out UK tour. Virgin EMI artist Emeli Sande will also return to V Festival after a hugely successful 2017, which saw her take home her fourth BRIT award for best British solo female artist.
Also on the lineup for the weekend are: Craig David, Rudimental, Sean Paul, Jess Glynne, Busted, Clean Bandit, Madness, George Ezra, James Arthur, The Wombats, Anne-Marie, The Vamps and Calum Scott – so there really is something for everyone this weekend.
The weather forecast looks good for both sites and there’s loads of advice on the V Festival website about what to take (and what to leave at home!). Follow all the action from Hylands Park on the Virgin Instagram this weekend.
