Virgin Atlantic prepare to bring the third instalment of their entrepreneur event series, Business is an adventure, to Boston. With Richard Branson once again heading up an expert panel of business minds...
October 17th will see the Virgin Group founder touchdown in Boston, as Business is an adventure makes an appearance at the Forbes Under 30 Summit. For those of you who have been following his blog in recent weeks, you may have seen just how much of a white-knuckle ride being an entrepreneur is at times.
"Every day of my life has been an adventure - I’ve been extraordinarily lucky," explains Richard. "However I also believe that people who run companies need to remember that for the people who work for their company, it’s a big part of their life. It should be fun, entertaining and give them a sense of pride. I’ve been on a lot of personal adventures as I attempted to put Virgin’s name on the map, bosses should empower people to do the same."
The previous event in the Business is an adventure series took place in Washington, D.C., where Kevin Plank (Under Armour founder), Donna Harris (1776 co-founder), Sheila Johnson (Salamander Hotels & Resorts founder and vice chairman of Monumental Sports) and a host of local start-ups joined Richard on stage to discuss how the desire to create change drives businesses to succeed.
However it all started back in February in Los Angeles, with Richard being joined by Cassey Ho (Blogilates), Sean Rad (Tinder) and Miguel McKelvey (WeWork) to explore the notion of no-brainer business ideas that rock the world.
