There’s nothing I enjoy more than spending time with friends and family in the great outdoors. Whether bike rides in the park or climbing mountains, it’s always fun to explore your surroundings, see new places and try new things with the people you love.
At the end of last year, a group of us ventured to Virgin Limited Edition's mountain hideaway, The Lodge, to embark on a holiday of firsts. It was the first time any of the little ones had seen proper snow and the first time they had tried skiing.

It was magical and the kids were brilliant, taking everything in their stride. Of course they could only take part in skiing lessons for short periods of time, leaving lots of time for fun in the snow and other activities that suited all of us; which thankfully The Lodge has plenty of.
Whether mountain biking (a particular favourite of mine) and rock climbing, or enjoying a day trip with one of The Lodge's specially prepared picnics, they really have thought of it all. There's something to do every day, all year round – and that means summer too. I can't wait to go back and give the mountain scooters and the paragliding a go.
On one of the days we took Eva-Deia, Etta and Artie tobogganing. It was a great way to take a long scenic walk for the parents and fun for the little ones too – not to mention the excitement in their faces as they went down hills very fast!
