Virgin Media Ireland announces broadband boost

Virgin Media Ireland has announced that it is boosting broadband speeds across the country to 360Mbps.

Customers who choose the new 360Mbps broadband will also receive free calls to landlines and mobiles, in 22 countries, for just €30 a month.

“360 Mbps broadband is at the core of our next-generation WiFi and telephony modem, otherwise known as the Virgin Media Hub,” Bill Blake, head of commercial and products said. “What’s more, customers can be assured of an impeccable in-home WiFi internet experience. The Virgin Media Hub has been designed with ease-of-use in mind, featuring a simplified LED display and an install wizard that enables our customers to set up and customise their home WiFi service quickly and easily.

“We promised you magic, and that’s what we’re delivering with our new sky-ripping 360Mb. Now you can enjoy buffer-free entertainment as you surf, stream and chat like never before.”

Customers can also add TV to their broadband bundle, to access a host of services including Replay and Startover TV, Horizon Go and My Prime.

In addition, customers will also benefit from the recently launched Parental Controls, a new way to help parents protect their children from age inappropriate material on the web.
