‘United Voices of Peace’ is an exciting speaker-led event, aiming to show that across all sectors of society and across geographic divides, we are uniting in the UN Sustainable Development Goals under Goal 17 (SDG 17) – ‘Partnerships for the Goals’.
This event aims to show that the pathways to SDG 17 are possible, and promises an opportunity to align with the UN's September 21st Peace Day theme, "Climate Action for Peace” and talk about its importance in achieving SDG 16 for peace, justice and inclusive societies.
This event will be a key moment to highlight how foundational the health, education and social inclusion areas are to address by the UN, NGO, public and private sectors in order to build sustainable environments for all.
The event will be streamed LIVE on The NewNow Facebook page at 10:30am EST. Watch the stream live on this page.
Discussions will additionally focus around how the media, entertainment and fashion industries serve as cultural barometers for social influence in addressing the sustainable development goals. With half of the world’s population under 30 years of age, and globally $2.1 trillion media and entertainment and $1.4 trillion fashion industries, it's imperative to shape engaging, authentic narratives and explore immersive experiences.
These industries stand as a channel of activation for collaboration between the private and public sector that go well beyond traditional corporate social responsibility initiatives, align with the SDGs and go to the heart of humanity’s values in an inspiring and creative form.
