Durable enough to spend your entire lifetime wearing the same luxurious cotton crewneck, this jumper certainly gives you a lot of bang for your buck.

There are always new trends erupting left, right and centre within the fashion industry – but one I'm particularly excited about, is the ever-growing environmentally-friendly sector.

Continuously challenged by the cheaper prices of the more established, unethical fashion empire, it is even more important that companies such as The 30 Year Sweatshirt, continue to challenge their rivals.

The 30 Year Sweatshirt, designed by Tom Cridland, has a lifespan guarantee of three decades, but is ultimately designed to last a lifetime – and with a wholesale price of just £55/$85 per jumper, you really do get the value you deserve.

Handmade by skilled artisans in Portugal, the 30 Year Sweatshirt is made from organic cotton. This said, the model is not just about quality, maintaining a strong focus on being respectful to the environment too.

Tom’s website helps to explain what makes the sweatshirt so durable and long-lasting – describing it as a loopback.

“The Portuguese artisans we have partnered with use an old school technique of traditional knitting that forms loops on the backside of the sweatshirt’s fabric.” Three fine yarns are then used within this loop-wheeled fabric, to create a material that should improve as the jumper ages.

The 30 Year Sweatshirt is currently asking for your support via a Kickstarter campaign, so why not visit the page, find out more and pledge your backing.
