If you've always wanted to get into the record books, then we might have just the thing for you – the Virgin Kitesurfing Armada 2014!

Last year, Richard Branson made a plea for as many kitesurfers as possible to join him in creating the ‘Longest parade of kitesurfers’ ever... and surprise, surprise, he did it!

Aiming for a World Record that required at least 250 kitesurfers to be eligible, the Virgin Founder saw a whopping 318 turn out in support.

It was so much fun that they’re doing it all again. The countdown to the Virgin Kitesurfing Armada 2014 is on and is set to offer another World Record breaking weekend at Hayling Island, Hampshire.

The event will take place on either September 13-14, 27-28 or October 11-12 (weather dependent).

Aside from bringing the kitesurfing community together for an amazing two-day festival, the weekend will feature loads of entertainment such as a pro-kiter Q&A session, a big screen with live tracking of the kitesurfing attempt, as well as music, bars and camping facilities.
While the armada will be great fun for all involved, it’s also for a great cause and will be raising money for three worthy charities: Virgin Unite, RNLI and the Snow-Camp.
