I head up Unite Entrepreneurs - a team founded by Unite to support early-stage entrepreneurs by providing access to inspiration, connections, training, mentoring and investment. Our work ranges from helping individual entrepreneurs scale innovative business solutions to the world’s biggest problems; to growing local entrepreneur communities around the world; or scaling our impact through a mass action network of micro-businesses, each taking concrete steps to positively impact people and planet.
Every day in my job I learn something new, whether it’s listening to an entrepreneur give a pitch; talking to our Branson Centre CEOs about the challenges of starting a small business in an emerging market; or building connections with organisations all around the world that want to collaborate to help entrepreneurs be successful.
In my previous life I wore a suit at MasterCard, toted a wheelie bag at McKinsey, coded in a hoodie at a tech start up (I’m still fond of the odd Game of Thrones T-shirt) and got told off for running in the corridors as a Maths teacher. When not at work I can be found exploring the hidden streets of London on “The Watermelon” - my beloved red and green, 3-speed ladies bike - and stopping frequently for an ice cream.
