The Virgin Strive Challenge is fast approaching and one of my favourite things about the challenge is meeting and getting to know so many wonderful people as we prepare to strive together. We all come from different walks of life and have different motivations behind taking part in the challenge, but one thing unites us; a passion for creating change.
In the lead up to the challenge I want to introduce you to some of the amazing people taking part. Next up is Kiran Gill.
Life is made up of many challenges; some physical, some emotional, some social and some professional. Please can you tell us what has turned you into the striver you are today?
Life really does throw some curve balls! I think growing up in my wonderfully unusual family has been a big factor, taking my first step onto the career ladder as a Teach First participant and being thrown into the (very) deep end teaching English in an inner-city school and my most recent, very enjoyable challenge, has been striving out on my own as a young female entrepreneur and setting up my own charity, The Difference.
What about STRIVE are you most 1. nervous about;
Having spent 24/7 setting up my own charity over the last two years I may have neglected my physical health, so I’d say my levels of fitness have a bit to be desired!
and 2. excited about?
I’m getting VERY excited to meet other amazing, inspirational strivers, finding out more about their experiences and all the conversations we’ll have along the way.
What do you know now that you wish you'd been taught at school?
How to manage the highs and lows of what everyday life throws at you – it sounds so simple but learning to be a human can be quite a complex feat.
