Head of Strategy at Interbrand

Simon is our new Executive Director for Strategy and is responsible for ensuring the quality of the strategic output of the London office and leading the strategic delivery for key clients. 

This is actually Simon’s second stint at Interbrand having worked as a Senior Consultant with us on contract eleven years ago when he lead the strategy on British Airways, Orange and PartyGroup.  In the in between period, Simon set up and ran Goosebumps Branding, a boutique brand consultancy acknowledged for its work in helping organisations to transform their businesses through the transformation of their brands – the company won no less than 37 ‘Transform’ Awards, more than any other company in Europe.

Simon’s career in brand development spans over a quarter of a century and the worlds of both advertising and brand consulting. His early career was as a strategic planner in some of the world’s most respected advertising agencies –Saatchi & Saatchi, Lowe, and McCann Erickson – working on some of the world’s biggest brands – Toyota, HP, UPS, Nestle.  Having worked in both fields, Simon is determined to bring the ‘best bits of both’ to his work: the resolute single mindedness and big creative ideas of advertising with the 360 degree application that only a well-resourced brand consultancy can make possible.

Outside of work Simon has three young children and, much to his wife’s chagrin, a ‘never say die’ attitude to DIY.
