Virgin Media is celebrating Southampton FC’s super-fans and rewarding them with some exclusive prizes.
Virgin Media enlisted the help of club legend Francis Benali to perform a tongue-in-cheek ‘sainting’ ceremony to recognise the Super Saints’ dedication to the team. This included nods to footballing history of half-time oranges and a magic sponge to acknowledge the Super Saints.
“I know all too well from my playing days just how incredible Southampton supporters are and it's amazing to see the love and dedication they have for the club celebrated by Virgin Media,” Benali said. “Super Saints is all about rewarding Saints fans in ways they would never expect and I can't wait to help surprise one or two of them throughout the rest of the season as a well-deserved thank you for their unwavering passion and loyalty.”
Virgin Media, as the main club sponsor, will be recognising Southampton fans for their loyalty and support with a range of competitions and money-can’t-buy-giveaways. They’ll also get a peek behind the scenes and some unique fan experiences.

This is on top of a number of fan and community initiatives that Virgin Media has run over the last three seasons. This has ranged from free food and drink on match days to surprise training sessions with local schools.
