The Virgin Kitesurfing Armada Festival returns to Hayling Island this summer on June 9th to 11th.
The three day festival will be bigger than ever before, with an expanded live music schedule across two stages, a huge marquee showcasing all the latest gear from some top brands and loads more going on across the festival for everyone to enjoy.
Entrance to the festival is free and festivalgoers can attend talks from professional kitesurfers and industry experts, let the kids enjoy kite making at the family zone, and enjoy some quality food and drink while enjoying the festival.
On the beach more than 500 kitesurfers will take part in as much kitesurfing as the wind allows – from big air competitions, boardercross racing and foiling to taste sessions for beginnings and technique clinics. Plus there’ll be an attempt to break the mass participation kitesurfing Guinness World Record title once again.
This year, for the first time, the Virgin Kitesurfing Armada will also host the British Kitesurfing Championship at the festival, showcasing the very best of UK kitesurfing talent.
“This year feels like a big step up for the festival and we can’t wait to get everyone back to Hayling Island once again,” event founder Dan Charlish says. “The addition of the new outdoor music stage will give the whole event a great festival feel and we have had to expand the brands tent by 50 per cent on last year to fit everyone in – which is really positive for the festival as there will be loads of fantastic stands to check out.
“Hosting the British Kitesurfing Championships is another exciting development. The UK punches way above its weight with the kitesurfers we have – and it will be awesome to have the best kitesurfers in the UK demonstrating their skills to all the spectators and visitors on the beach.”
Kitesurfers can register now via the Virgin Kitesurfing Aramada Festival website, where you can also book your camping and campervan tickets.
