Virgin Hotels San Francisco is opening the doors on its 12th storey rooftop bar and lounge, Everdene, today at 5pm.
Located at the new Virgin Hotels San Francisco at 250 4th Street in the city’s SoMa neighbourhood, Everdene will feature a creative selection of cocktails. Virgin Hotels San Francisco’s talented Executive Chef Adrian Garcia will also be cooking up a range of shareable dishes.
The rooftop bar will feature a varied entertainment programme. Live DJs will provide an eclectic soundtrack of sets and there’ll be performances from artists across multiple genres such as electronic, vintage funk and soul, indie rock and hip-hop.
Everdene, named after the heroine of Thomas Hardy’s 1874 novel, Far From The Madding Crowd, Bathsheba Everdene, is one of the few rooftop bars in the city. The 4,000 square-foot urban oasis offers a modern and verdant garden with skyline views. Designed in partnership with Gensler San Francisco, the indoor/outdoor rooftop features multiple spaces to take in the views of the city.
Everdene also has two intimate lounges, perfect for private parties or exclusive gatherings. The Patio, with a view to Nob Hill and downtown San Francisco and The Secret Garden, which is accessible through a signature Virgin-red garden gate crowned with foliage. The Secret Garden is filled with comfortable seating alcoves featuring a worldly mix of colours, patterns and hand-carved details.
It is hoped Everdene will become the ideal rooftop bar and lounge in San Francisco with entertainment that reflects and satiates the city’s culture-hungry community. Sunrise yoga classes, skyline cinema nights and other events are also planned at the rooftop location.
Everdene will be open Tuesday to Saturday from 5pm to 1.30am for the first few weeks after its grand opening tonight (April 4th) at 5pm.
