The UK’s most exclusive pop-up has landed at Heathrow, as Virgin Atlantic unveiled an igloo on the roof of its terminal three Clubhouse - creating the most over-the-top airport experience in the world.
The airline collaborated with London’s Coppa Club to bring one of their highly sought after igloos to the Heathrow Clubhouse. The one of a kind igloo welcomes customers up until January 14th, offering spectacular views of the runway.
The heated igloo seats up to eight people, and is luxuriously decorated in a Nordic style with Virgin flair. Customers will be able to enjoy Virgin Atlantic’s mouth-watering food menu and award winning drinks as they dine before their flight.
"Once again we have shown what sets Virgin Atlantic apart. This winter we’re bringing the UK’s most in demand pop up direct to our customers by introducing an igloo on the roof of our Heathrow Clubhouse. We’ve created one of the world’s most thrilling airport experiences where customers can eat, drink and relax under the stars with unrivalled views of the runway," commented Daniel Kerzner, Vice President Customer Experience for Virgin Atlantic.
"Our customers love flying Virgin Atlantic as we are constantly innovating to create unique experiences that set us apart. This is another example of doing the unexpected and wow’ing our customers with something they won’t get anywhere else. This is the first of many experiences we will be launching on the ground and in the air throughout 2018."
It’s already been a busy festive period for the airline with over 140,000 passengers flying away with Virgin Atlantic over the Christmas period, with over 15,000 predicted to travel to over 30 destinations on December 22nd.
Customers travelling on Christmas day won’t miss out on the traditional festive feast as all cabins will be served a full Christmas dinner. Customers can tuck into roast turkey, potatoes, pigs in blankets and all the trimmings. And for customers in the air on the December 31st, they’ll be treated to champagne on Virgin Atlantic with all customers receiving a mini bottle of Lanson to bring in the New Year in style.
