Virgin Atlantic has announced an extended flying programme from London Heathrow for Summer 2020 – as well as a codeshare agreement with WestJet, which will open up Canada for travellers.
The new programme from Heathrow includes a new second daily service to Delhi, a new weekly flight to San Francisco and the next routes to debut its brand new A350 aircraft.
The new flights to Delhi launch in March 2020, departing Heathrow in the morning to complement their current evening departure. Together with their partners Delta Air Lines, Virgin Atlantic will offer seamless connections between Delhi and New York JFK, Boston, Detroit and Atlanta via Heathrow.
Virgin Atlantic’s recently launched Mumbai flight will also be rescheduled to an evening departure from Heathrow, offering a more convenient choice for business customers. This gives customers more choice to travel to India than ever before.
Travellers wanting to visit the Golden Gate City are in luck as Virgin Atlantic will also add a new weekly service to San Francisco, departing every Friday. The airline will fly twice daily between Heathrow and San Francisco, offering more options for both business and leisure customers. From May 2020, the airline will fly its brand new A350 on this route and, coupled with the new weekly flight, will boost capacity by 40,000 seats for the summer season.
The new A350 aircraft will fly to five destinations across Virgin Atlantic’s network and will service all its flights to Africa too.The routes to debut the aircraft from Summer 2020 are:

As well as expansion at Heathrow, Virgin Atlantic has announced a new partnership with WestJet, which will enable customers to book and fly to Canada from London Gatwick.
Travellers can book with Virgin Atlantic and fly to either Calgary, Toronto, Halifax or Vancouver and connect onwards to 28 domestic destinations in Canada with the new partnership.
