Behind every business maverick lies a colourful and thrilling story, and with Virgin Atlantic’s new podcast they’re looking to unearth some of them.
In each episode, The Venture profiles a different entrepreneur, talking with their colleagues, family and friends to bring listeners the adventure of taking that leap of faith, starting a business and disrupting an industry. Of course, not every ride is as smooth as it looks and there’ll also be stories of bumpy starts, missteps and failures.
Featuring on the first season of the podcast will be:
- Jonathan Murray, the godfather of reality television and co-creator of genre-defining The Real World
- The founding team behind legendary satirical news outlet, The Onion
- Slim Moon and Portia Sabin, the founders of Kill Rock Stars Records Label, one of the most influential imprints in music history, having released albums for Elliott Smith, Sleater-Kinney, The Decemberists and more
“Virgin Atlantic believes that business is an epic adventure, and we wanted to bring that concept to life by sharing some of the most fascinating business stories out there,” said Jenna Lloyd, head of marketing, Virgin Atlantic, North America. “Podcasts have intrigued us for a while; we know it’s a format that resonates with many of our flyers, especially our business travellers, and one that would allow us to dive deep into intriguing pioneers and explore what we can all learn from their stories.”
