Virgin Atlantic open new Cuba route to Varadero

It’s been over a decade since Virgin Atlantic started flying passengers to Cuba, with its Havana route opening up back in 2005, so it’s about time for a second we’d say...

The airline is currently the only to fly to and from Cuba from the UK all year round, with the new weekly service to the white, sandy beaches of Varadero operating out of Gatwick Airport.

With old American cars still very much a fixture on the streets of Cuba, the Virgin Atlantic team decided to let people know about the new route to Varadero by taking a couple of the vehicles out and about in the UK.

And now Virgin Holidays are offering an opportunity to enjoy a taste of Cuba from home, with the Virgin Holidays Cars to Cuba service, available to applicants in central London, Glasgow and Manchester on Saturday April 28th. Simply enter your details for the chance to win a one-hour ride with a friend in a vintage Cuban car, along with a special Cuban hamper and a voucher for salsa dance lessons so you can master the Cha-Cha.

As well as their new Cuba route, Virgin Atlantic has recently kicked off a new daily service to Seattle, along with more flight options from Manchester Airport.
