Engineering Apprentice, Virgin Trains East Coast, Edinburgh

Excited and ready for a new challenge in 2017?  Our search is on for two Red Hot Apprentices to join our Engineering Team based in Craigentinny, Edinburgh.

It’s good times here at Virgin Trains, we’re investing heavily in our current fleet of trains but are also eagerly awaiting the next generation of trains to hit our tracks. Our people are at the heart of everything we do, so we’re full steam ahead with our search to find and train our newest Apprentice Engineers.

This apprenticeship blends both theory and practical learning, ensuring that you’re equipped with the knowledge and skills to start your career on the right tracks. You will study full time at Forth Valley College in your first year and then one day a week from year two to four, with the remainder of your time working on our lovely trains. You’ll be learning all aspects of our maintenance, from engines and suspension, to air conditioning and lighting, with lots more along the way!
