Jay Z and P!nk to headline Virgin V Festival 2017

Virgin V Festival has announced the first artists that will be taking to the stage in Chelmsford and Staffordshire with Jay Z and P!nk heading up the bill.

The festival will return to Hylands Park, Chelmsford and Weston Park, Staffordshire, on August 19th and 20th, 2017.

Hip-hop royalty and ‘God of rap’ Jay Z will be headlining the main stage, showcasing his decades’ worth of hits. He’s smashed global chart records throughout his 20-year music career and is one of the most successful artists of all time, having won a phenomenal 21 Grammy awards to date.

P!nk returns to Virgin V Festival 10 years after her first performance there in 2007. Her set will be one of the most hotly anticipated spectacles of the summer with some elaborate stagecraft and choreography expected.

Stormzy will also be returning to the main stage at Virgin V Festival this year, following his extremely popular performance in the afternoon slot last year. The ‘Shut Up’ star has just last week released his debut album, Gang Signs & Prayer, and will be kicking off a sold-out UK tour this April – meaning grabbing a ticket to Virgin V Festival is the best way to see him this summer.

Following his epic comeback during 2016, Craig David will hit the stage in Chelmsford and Staffordshire this year with a host of his smash hits both new and old.

Rudimental will head up the MTV stage, bringing the party with them. The hugely popular Hackney based band and BRIT Award winners will be the talk of the weekend with many guessing who will join them on stage to close what is set to be an incredible day of music, after their performance in 2014 saw Essex singer and songwriter Anne-Marie take to the stage with them.

Also headlining the MTV stage is one of the world’s most famous and most successful DJ’s in the world, Pete Tong. The Ibiza legend will bring the sound of summer to both sites with his essential Ibiza Classics orchestra show – one not to miss.

Also on the line-up for this summer are: Sean Paul, Jess Glynne, Clean Bandit, Madness, George Ezra, James Arthur, The Wombats, Anne-Marie, Jonas Blue, JP Cooper, The Vamps, Calum Scott, and Jack Savoretti.
