Introducing Virgin Media's Intelligent WiFi

Virgin Media is set to revolutionise in-home connectivity for millions of customers with its new Intelligent WiFi.

Thanks to a series of updates, customers will be able to access the UK’s fastest widely available broadband speeds in more areas of their homes. Customers with a Hub 3 router have already received the upgrade, which comprises a smart cloud-based, adaptive system that evolves and tackles the problems people often have with getting the best performance from their WiFi.

With Intelligent WiFi, Virgin Media customers could see speeds improving by up to three times without the aid of a booster. This means that regardless of the type of property, or the number of people living there, customers can make the most of their ultrafast connectivity, whether they’re using it to stream 4K programming, gaming online or simply doing their weekly shop.

Customers will be able to test the strength of their signal in different parts of their homes using the new Connect app from Virgin Media. The app will also help them to identify any blackspots in the home, manage devices that are connected and pause those devices, which is handy for when children are using the internet when they should be sleeping. Customers can also access support and help through the app to resolve any problems.
