How Virgin Hyperloop will make a difference to long-distance relationships

Sushant and Aarti met when they were in high school in Mumbai. Now married, their jobs force them to live 150km, and up to five hours of travelling, apart.

When they wed, they moved together from Mumbai to Maharashtra’s second biggest city, Pune. But when Sushant was offered a job in Mumbai, he thought it was too good an opportunity to pass up. With Aarti also excelling in her own career, they were faced with a tough decision – for her to give up her job or for them to travel each weekend to see each other.

They chose the latter and now face an arduous journey to see each other. The trip can take five hours to complete on rickshaw, bus and train.

But what if there was an alternative? Virgin Hyperloop is working to make the journey between Pune and Mumbai a short 25 minute ride. Watch the video below to learn more about Sushant and Aarti’s story and how Virgin Hyperloop could change their lives.
