Australians can now book a ‘Tail to Sail’ flight and cruise package with Virgin Australia and Virgin Voyages.
The packages enable Aussies to purchase return flights with Virgin Australia and a voyage on board Virgin Voyages’ highly anticipated first ship, Scarlet Lady. Flights are from the east coast of Australia (Sydney, Brisbane or Melbourne) to Miami and the package also includes accommodation in Miami, as well as the cruise with Virgin Voyages. From Miami, Sailors can set sail on a number of itineraries including destinations in the US, Mexico, Puerto Rico and Dominican Republic.
“I’ve always loved coming to Australia and am delighted to launch this new partnership between two iconic brands in our Virgin family, which will bring more of our Virgin magic Down Under and allow Aussies to experience our wonderful Virgin service across Virgin Australia and Virgin Voyages,” Richard Branson said.
“I’m immensely proud of the new Virgin Voyages brand; in building it we took the time to think through every detail and craft a unique experience that brings to life the Virgin and disrupts the travel industry. I can’t wait to hear what Aussies think of our new endeavour.”
Scarlet Lady has been designed to reflect a sleek yacht, with 20 world-class restaurants, 1,330 cabins and 78 RockStar Suites designed by some of the top names in contemporary architecture, interiors and construction.
Virgin Voyages is determined to give Sailors more value for their money with all dining, group fitness classes, soft drinks gratuities, WiFi and many other surprises included in the voyage fare.
Virgin Voyages CCO Nirmal Saverimuttu said: “Virgin Voyages is a new global lifestyle brand that is set to disrupt the cruise category by providing a new over 18 experience.
“Our team is committed to creating the world’s most irresistible holiday with well-being at the forefront of the onboard experience, as seen through a mix of high-energy moments coupled with relaxation and rejuvenation. We look forward to Australians sailing with us.”
Paul Scurrah, CEO of Virgin Australia, added: “We’re extremely excited to welcome Virgin Voyages into the family, and work with them to bring this ‘Tail to Sail’ travel experience to Australians.
“The Virgin service and our distinctive personality is at the heart of everything our brands do and this is a great opportunity for Australians to experience the famous Virgin hospitality across multiple travel experiences.”
