The first thing that strikes you when Harnaam Kaur walks into the room is her energy. She is buoyant, fizzing with passion. “I woke up this morning feeling fierce,” she says, as she takes a seat, ready to be filmed.
Kaur is an activist, body-confidence advocate and has also entered the Guinness Book of Records as the youngest woman to have a full beard. Her portrait has hung in Somerset House and she’s walked catwalks.
She has polycystic ovary syndrome, a symptom of which is having excessive hair growth. This is why she’s grown a beard many men would be jealous of.
We spoke to her about body positivity, being a role model, and how she’s using her position as an influencer to change beauty perceptions.
