VOOM Tour 2017 - five reasons to attend

From the world-record breaking pitchathon to the grand finale starring Richard Branson and Tyra Banks, VOOM 2016 saw some of the most exciting live events to come from the competition to date. This year, however, Virgin Media Business are determined to bring the live VOOM experience to more people than ever before...

This month saw the first stop on the VOOM Tour 2017, as Manchester played host to the big red VOOM bus. Between now and November the bus will be snaking its way across the UK, including a first London stop this week. To find out when it's heading your way, check out the VOOM Tour map. Each stop on the VOOM Tour will be packed with business experts, previous contestants and fellow entrepreneurs - all ready to offer up their unique advice on any issues you might be struggling with. 2. Master the art of pitching

With the climax of each VOOM campaign always the opportunity to, quite literally, Pitch to Rich, the VOOM Tour will give those who attend the chance to improve their business pitches through mini-competitions. Each stop on the tour will see cash prizes on offer for the best pitches, along with advice for those brave enough to pitch from a panel experts. As well as cash prizes there will also be some money can't buy prizes on offer - with the pick of the bunch being the chance to have dinner with Richard Branson. The best pitchers on show from each stop of the tour will be in with a chance of joining the Virgin Group founder for a very special meal - what more motivation do you need?

4. Free advice from Virgin StartUp

Joining Virgin Media Business on the tour will be Virgin StartUp, the not-for-profit Virgin company for entrepreneurs, who provide government-backed Start Up Loans and one-to-one business advice to entrepreneurs launching or growing a business in England or Scotland. Each leg of the tour will see members of the team, such as Andy here, on hand to answer any burning business questions you may have.

5. Learn how to make advertising work for you

JCDecaux, the UK's largest outdoor advertising company, know a thing or two about creating a buzz and will be on hand to share their insight throughout the door.
