Highlights from the Virgin Media Business VOOM Pitchathon

We’ve finally (just about) recovered from the Guinness World Record setting 29 hour Pitchathon for Virgin Media Business VOOM 2016. If you missed out on all the action, here’s what you need to know…

Cambridge Satchel Company founder Julie Deane, Virgin StartUp’s head of investment Andy Fishburn, and MD of Virgin Media Business Pete Kelly listened to 158 entrepreneurs pitch their business ideas over 28 hours and 51 minutes and earned Virgin Media Business the Guinness World Record for the longest business pitch marathon.

“It was an ambitious record to set and a huge challenge – but we’ve done it and it feels great,” Peter Kelly said. “All 158 businesses are part of this incredible achievement and we saw some wonderful pitches that epitomised what this record and competition is all about – being creative, resourceful and a little bit daring.”

Take a look at some of the highlights in the video below…

Of course the video didn’t catch all the action and if you want to relive it all (like Peter Kelly definitely not catching a few z’s during a product demonstration in a pitch) then head to our liveblog from the full 29 hours.
