Virgin Money has launched a programme to support, develop and inspire people who have taken a break from working to give them practical help and an opportunity to get into the career they want.
The ReCareer Programme is a 13 week professional internship designed to provide a supported route back to work for career returners. Participants will join a team and take on a significant piece of work whilst receiving tailored returner coaching, mentoring and induction to support their transition. Interns will also receive technical training to ensure that the most current updates and knowledge of any industry or professional changes are embedded – and there’ll be an opportunity to network with senior members of Virgin Money and a buddying system to help interns enjoy the programme.
Anyone can apply to join the programme, and Virgin Money is specifically hoping to encourage women back into the workforce after taking time out. While they’re mainly looking for diversity of thought, potential leadership abilities and people with the ability to collaborate with others, Virgin Money is also particularly keen to hear from people with a professional background in finance, treasury and risk, technology, data analysts and business architects, and commercial product backgrounds within financial services.
Virgin Money offers flexible working and although it is not guaranteed, the aim of the programme is to offer interns a permanent position at the end of it. The 13 week programme will start on September 11th 2017 and have a one week break to coincide with the half-term school holiday.
Applications for the ReCareer programme are open now and will close on May 31st, with an assessment day taking place on June 19th. Find out more and apply now via the Virgin Money Careers website.
