To create a successful team like DS Virgin Racing, it takes a lot of people working hard behind the scenes.
As they prepare for the final races of the 2016/17 Formula E season in Montreal, DS Virgin Racing’s technical director Chris Gorne shares his experiences of working in the electric racing championship.
Having previously been involved in another race series, A1 GP, Chris joined DS Virgin Racing during the second season of Formula E and has been helping the team to improve their racing ever since. He says that what he likes about DS Virgin Racing is that “it’s a young and dynamic company”.
He adds: “Formula E now I think has really found its feet in season three. We’re approaching the end of season three and it’s got a great fan base, more and more followers, obviously younger followers, which is what the Formula 1 has probably lacked and have started to lose. I think the direction the championship is going is fantastic.”
DS Virgin Racing – with Chris leading all things technical in the garage – will be in action in Montreal in the final race of season three this weekend. Vote for Jose Maria Lopez or Sam Bird to receive the FanBoost during the race on Saturday now – either on the Formula E website, or on Twitter using the hashtags #SamBird #FanBoost or #JoseMariaLopez #FanBoost.
