Virgin Orbit

Virgin Orbit is going into space to improve life on Earth. Since 2017, it has been providing dedicated, responsive and affordable launch services for small satellites. More capable than ever before, small satellites need launch providers that are as nimble and agile as the spacecraft themselves. To meet the needs of today’s satellite makers and operators, Virgin Orbit has developed LauncherOne, which can launch satellites into orbit from beneath the wing of an adapted Boeing 747, enabling the company to launch satellites from anywhere in the world. In fact, later this year it will launch from Cornwall in the first ever rocket launch from UK soil. Join Virgin Orbit and help open space for all, for good.

You’ll work in a small team and provide technical leadership throughout all aspects of the project. You will collaborate with the other Integration Engineers and Mission Managers as part of the Flight and Launch team to assist in developing the payload handling process from factory to mate to the rocket and launch. You will also be working with the customer during their launch campaign at our facility.

Event and Studio Production Coordinator

While what Virgin Orbit does is, in fact, rocket science, you don’t have to be a rocket scientist to work there. Virgin Orbit is currently looking for an Event and Studio Production Coordinator to join its brand and communications team.

This position will support Virgin Orbit’s online broadcast and in-person events, ranging from live streaming rocket launches to company holiday parties to VIP events for C-Suite customer representatives. Much of your work will happen in Virgin Orbit’s in-house studio, where they will support webcast and live stream workflow, gear management, and more. On other days, you will be planning and executing live events that take place in the rocket factory, in nearby venues, or even at spaceports around the world.

For a self-motivated and effective event and studio production coordinator, this job offers the opportunity to help make history as Virgin Orbit brings space launch to new customers and as it helps satellite makers from NASA, the Department of Defense, and commercial and government entities all around the world follow along as their satellites are delivered to Earth orbit (and sometimes beyond).
