Head of Sustainability at Virgin Atlantic

Virgin Atlantic is a purpose-led long haul airline. Committed to protecting the planet, whilst bringing the social and economic benefits of connectivity and trade to the destinations and communities it serves. It’s on a mission to net-zero by 2050 but no airline can tackle the decarbonisation challenge alone. Virgin Atlantic is committed to innovating forward, pioneering change through partnership and being transparent in our progress.

For more than a decade Virgin Atlantic has been leading the way in the decarbonisation of the aviation industry. Now it has a unique opportunity to ensure we return to the skies more sustainably. To support the airline in that ambition, Virgin Atlantic is looking for a Head of Sustainability to deliver its strategic priorities in 2022, support its long-term vision on sustainability, and continue to embed sustainability and ESG initiatives across Virgin Atlantic. Leading the Sustainability team, you’ll drive the airline’s commitment to seed, support and execute the pathways to net zero.

Virgin Orbit

Communications Officer at Virgin Orbit

Virgin Orbit is launching the small satellite revolution, enabling missions that were previously unimaginable. It is delivering Virgin’s legendary customer experience by combining advanced technology with a diligent, hard-working team. Virgin Orbit has built a workplace and a workforce of the future, knowing that its decisions and investments of today are launching the industries of tomorrow. It has engaged a diverse and inclusive community of doers and dreamers alike, empowering all those working today to build satellites and constellations that will change the world.

Virgin Orbit is currently seeking a new member for its team to serve as a Communications Officer – someone who can help tell its story to the world at large and to its colleagues in the company.

A key part of the quest to boost imaginations and to launch the small satellite revolution is telling the story of what Virgin Orbit is doing. From the shop floor of its rocket factory to the mind-boggling missions being undertaken by its customers’ satellites, there are plenty of great stories to tell; and Virgin Orbit is committed to sharing them in an open, transparent, and inclusive way.

If you join Virgin Orbit in this position, you will make a major contribution to the way it communicates with the world at large. This will include both traditional and social media. In the past, Virgin Orbit hasn’t been very active on social media in particular – the team has been kind of busy, you know, building rockets – but now, as it prepares to enter into routine commercial service with LauncherOne, it’s time to change that.
