Want to Spread Some Sunshine? Download the new charity single from a Virgin Atlantic cabin crew member and friends.
Virgin Atlantic recently announced Little Red Live, a series of unique in-flight music and comedy gigs. Now one Virgin Atlantic cabin crew member has released a single to raise funds for children in Ghana.
The single Spread Some Sunshine, which is available on iTunes, was created by the Spread Some Sunshine charity with the help of music writer and producer Daz Shields. They are hoping to raise money to help buy a minibus for an orphanage in Accra.
Faye Toner visits the orphanage every month, having flown to Ghana regularly with Virgin Atlantic, and can see first-hand how a minibus would change the childrens lives. She said: "The benefits the bus will bring to the children's lives will be unimaginable. Not only will it facilitate access to the local school for children in the community, it will give the children in the orphanage the opportunity to go out on excursions.
"A trip to the beach or the chance to find a large open space to play are things we all take for granted. The arrival of the bus will allow the children to venture beyond the four walls of their home and will bring countless smiles to brighten up their often difficult lives."
This is just the latest Spread Some Sunshine initiative, with previous projects including a naked calendar and a Virgin London Marathon run raising funds for good causes in Africa.
