V2 is the biggest and best independent UK record label. We have signed some of the most inspiring bands and solo artists in the country – and not all of them looked like a sure bet on first inspection.
Liberty X were looking for a UK record label after losing to Hear’say in the Popstars programme. Many didn’t think they were a serious proposition at all. V2 thought differently and when they walked through our doors we duly signed them to a six album deal. They didn’t let us down and Liberty X became one of the most successful pop bands in recent years. Their smash hit Just A Little was one of the most popular anthems of 2002.
Joining Liberty X at V2 are bands and solo artists like the Stereophonics, Underworld and Tom Jones. Other bands include Dogs Die In Hot Cars, Elbow and Mercury Rev.
