Virginia Beach is a great beach resort perfect for family holidays or just somewhere to go and relax. The beach itself is typically beautiful, with golden sand and crystal-clear blue waters. If you go in the summer months you will have the chance to take exciting dolphin cruises. Just peer into the water and you will no doubt catch a glimpse of everyone’s favourite flippered friends! For a magnificent view of the whole beach, climb to the top of the Cape Henry Lighthouse and marvel at the incredible views.
For blistering fun, head over to the Ocean Breeze Fun Park and get soaking wet on great rides like the Wild Water Rapids. Virginia Aquarium has a wealth of exciting things to see, with over 300 interactive exhibits and even an IMAX cinema screen.
The Black Bay National Wildlife Refuge is a good place to visit for more activities, and there are plenty of golf courses if you fancy teeing off. Nightlife in Virginia Beach is busy and bustling with lots of clubs and bars. For a decidedly different night out mosey on down to the Murder Mystery Dinner Theatre or laugh yourself silly at one of the local comedy clubs.
There are also malls galore to accommodate all your shopping needs and plenty of great places to eat with an abundance of different cuisines to sample.
