The lush vegetation of Kauai has earned the island the name “the Garden Isle,” which attracts adoration from tourists for its amazing combination of verdant scenery, flawless beaches and rich interior forests.
The island is the oldest and the furthest north of the entire Hawaiian archipelago, with a total landmass of about 550 square miles. The weather is dry and sunny for most of the year, which is perfect for enjoying the beautiful unspoilt beaches. Adventurers can travel to the volcanic mountain in the middle of the island, Mount Waialeale, and find why Kauai is called the wettest place on earth.
Families looking for adventure can hike through the lush forests of Kauai, where you will marvel at the amazing local wildlife and giant plants. The Indiana Jones film Raiders of the Lost Ark was shot here, and you will soon find out why! Water sports enthusiasts can experience beautiful marine life up close while snorkelling or diving.
