Huntington Beach holidays
Over 11 million holiday makers opt for Huntington Beach, or Surf City USA as it is affectionately known, as their destination of choice every year. Laden with 8 miles of beautiful sandy beaches, a relaxing chilled out environment and great weather, it’s little wonder Huntington Beach is so popular.
Surf City USA earned its nickname by being one of the premier surfing locations in the whole of America. But you don’t have to be an expert to appreciate the surf; there are plenty of surf schools willing to teach you how to handle the waves, no matter what your skill level may be. There are also loads of trendy shops selling all sorts of surf wear, from specialised wetsuits to cool T-shirts and knick-knacks. With all the surf culture it should come as no surprise that Huntingdon houses the Huntington Beach International Surfing Museum.
Of course if you don’t fancy surfing you can always just kick back and hang out on the beach, take a stroll down the promenade, or maybe grab some roller skates and whizz down instead!
What To Do
Huntingdon Beach attracts Virgin travellers for its prowess as a surfer's paradise. Surf schools are available for those who dare to take part, or enjoy other beach activities like volleyball and watersports. The Huntington Beach International Surfing Museum is worth checking out, while pier-fishing is a relaxing way to spend an afternoon or two in this Surf City USA.
Where To Eat
In the evening you can relax in some of the many bars and restaurants Huntington Beach has to offer. Enjoy a sea-breeze at Chimayo’s Cocktail bar, or hit Ruby’s Diner for some great burgers and classic American milkshakes.
