In a recent interview conducted at the launch of Virgin Galactic’s LauncherOne, Richard Branson and CEO George Whitesides sat down with the website Space.com to talk about their recent spacial endeavours.
In the interview Branson revealed that the idea for satellites was born as a result of the production of the WhiteKnightTwo mothership that would already carry the "heaviest payload of any vehicle".
When asked about the brand name 'Virgin Galactic Cargo' - as referred to by Stephen Attenburough (Galactic's Commercial Director), Branson joked about the lack of sexiness in the miss-quoting letting Space.com know that “We like sexier names than cargo… I think Virgin Galactic is sexy enough.”
Why not have a watch of the Virgin Galactic showreel and decide for yourself if the world’s first commercial spaceline is sexy enough.
