Virgin Australia partners with Queensland ballet

Virgin Australia has joined forces with one of Australia’s leading performing arts companies, as the airline announces a partnership with Queensland Ballet which is set to commence in 2013.

The agreement will see the airline become the official season partner of the ballet company, enabling an increase in performances and an improved training and community access programme.

“2013 is a landmark year for Queensland Ballet as it heralds the commencement of one of the most well-known and well-respected ballet dancers in the world, Li Cunxin, as Artistic Director. The Company is renowned for its passionate and dynamic performances here and overseas, as well as the work it does to foster young talent in the community,” explained Virgin Australia General Manager Michael Betteridge.

“We are very proud to be partnering with a company that makes such an important contribution to performing arts in Australia, at such an exciting time in its evolution, and we look forward to a spectacular 2013 season.”

In 2013 Queensland Ballet will embark on a significant tour of regional Queensland to Toowoomba, Caloundra, Maryborough, Gladstone and Rockhampton. For more information visit their website.
