Virgin Atlantic is celebrating the first flight of its new A330 aircraft from London to Delhi with a unique competition. The airline is asking the Indian public to design a new cocktail, which they think would be well suited for consumption at 37,000 feet.
The lucky winner will receive a trip for two to London and have their cocktail created by the airline’s mixologists, with the cocktail being served to customers flying in the Upper Class cabin between Delhi and London. The winner’s recipe, along with their name, will also and be printed on the menu card before being served at 37000 feet.
“We have always localised our services to best suit the Indian appetite. As the drinking and dining experience is often voted as the most anticipated and enjoyed part of the flight, we want to give people the chance to get involved in its creation as we welcome the brand new A330,” explained Stephen King, General Manager at Virgin Atlantic India.
Customers from India can enter via the Virgin Atlantic Facebook page and will be tasked with inventing a name for the cocktail, producing a recipe card and a YouTube video making the drink from a list of ingredients.
If you think what has it takes to come up with a winning drink, head over to Virgin Atlantic.
