Virgin Atlantic has started the search for 500 extra crew members, following plans to expand the airline’s network and fleet during 2012.
“It is an exciting year of growth and investment for Virgin Atlantic as we look forward to expanding our network and welcoming a new fleet of aircraft,” explained Director of Operations, Safety and Security, Corneel Koster.
“The new roles have been created to support our new destinations of Cancun and Vancouver, a second rotation on our San Francisco route and also our new A330-300 aircraft of which we take delivery of seven later in the year.”
The crew members will be based in London, out of Heathrow and Gatwick Airports, and will primarily be working on Virgin Atlantic’s new Cancun and Vancouver routes.
The staff will also be deployed on other long-haul destinations in the network, including New York, Barbados, Las Vegas and Shanghai.
