Virgin Atlantic is taking the Grinch out of holiday travel with a new gift wrapping programme.
Just in time for holiday travel, Virgin Atlantic removes the hassle and adds the tassel with the launch of the airport approved gift wrapping scheme at New York's JFK airport.
On December 21-23, the halls of Terminal 4 at New York’s John F. Kennedy International Airport will have added cheer as ‘Virgin Helpers’ stationed at the airline’s gates (post-security), will be ready to assist passengers with their wrapping needs.
To avoid the TSA ‘unwrapping’ fliers’ packages during the screening process, Virgin Atlantic’s spirited helpers will wrap carry-on size approved gifts, ensuring gifts arrive wrapped for friends and loved ones. The airline will charge $2.00 per package, but unlike baggage fees, 100% of the proceeds will benefit Virgin Unite.
Chris Rossi, Senior Vice President, North America, Virgin Atlantic Airways, said: "We’re hoping to add a little extra holiday cheer to our passengers flying experience this holiday season.
"With this exciting new service, Virgin Atlantic is thrilled to send passengers on their merry way with beautifully wrapped gifts that are sure to impress."
Now fliers can rest assured their precious cargo will get to Grandma’s house in one stylishly wrapped piece.
