Virgin Atlantic have officially been named the coolest brand in UK travel, after finishing above all other competitors in the influential annual CoolBrand initiative.
In its 11th year the CoolBrands list takes its insights from a poll of over 3,000 consumers as well as an expert judging panel consisting of 39 designers style experts and media personalities. This year the experts, who deemed Atlantic to be the eighth coolest overall brand, included the likes of Rizzle Kicks, Plan B and celebrity chef Gizzi Erskine.
“We are delighted to be recognised as one of the UK’s coolest brands and to be the only travel company named in this list is such an honour,” commented Simon Lloyd, Director of Marketing for Virgin Atlantic.
“Virgin Atlantic is always looking to innovate in order to stand out from the crowd this year alone we have redesigned our Upper Class cabin with a new seat and new bar, opened a new Clubhouse in New York JFK, and launched two new routes to Cancun and Vancouver. Before the year is out we will be opening a new Clubhouse in Newark and also adding a new service to Mumbai”
Co-ordinated by The Centre for Brand Analysis, the prestigious CoolBrands list is drawn from over 10,000 independently identified brands and whittled down into a shortlist of 1,200. Each brand is then individually scored on factors including style, innovation, originality, authenticity, desirability and uniqueness.
To experience the cool service for yourself, visit the Virgin Atlantic website and book yourself a flight.
