London's Big Egg Hunt

As part of their ‘Experience This’ series vtravelled have hopped over to London to take in a world record attempt.

The Big Egg hunt, which begins on February 21st and lasts for 40 days, will run throughout central London and use more than 200 Fabergé easter eggs.

The idea is to get the public to take to the streets and find the eggs by picking up clues, creating an interactive Easter egg experience. They’ll be a map and Egg Hunt App to help with the challenge, details of which will soon be revealed.

The fibreglass eggs stand at just over 30 inches tall, with each one being individually crafted by leading lights from the worlds of fashion, art, architecture and jewellery. With contributors including; Bruce Oldfield, Zaha Hadid, Zandra Rhodes, Vivienne Westwood, Sir Peter Blake, Sophie Conran, Tommy Hilfiger, Mulberry, MIA, Nicky Haslam and Sir Ridley Scott.

Following the hunt the eggs will be auctioned off, with the proceeds going to two very worthy causes in Action for Children and Elephant family.
