Get your own Virgin America experience

Virgin America are inviting passengers to share their flight experiences as part of a ground-breaking promotion, which will see Twitter and Instagram feeds sent directly to the NASDAQ board in Times Square.

Today saw Richard Branson joined on a Virgin America flight by some of the airline’s top travellers, including indie film-maker Kevin Smith, producer Jane Marie and Twitter CEO Dick Costolo, as he toasted the new campaign and requested flyers to share their in-flight photos.

By tweeting your photos through Instagram to @VirginAmerica using the #myVXexperience hashtag you’ll not only have the chance to win 30% off your next flight, you might even make an appearance on the giant Virgin America billboard in Times Square.

If you’re among the first 1,000 people to follow Virgin America on Twitter and share an in-flight Instagram picture from 7a.m. – 2 p.m. PT today, the airline will Direct Message you a promo code good for 30% off your next Virgin America flight.

As you can see from above picture of Kevin Smith taking a little rest, taken from the Virgin Group Founder’s brand new Instagram account (@richardbranson), it was a pretty tiring flight – it must have been those cocktails that Richard handed out at the start of the flight!
