Culture Collide begins with in-flight festival

Virgin America aren’t strangers to partying at 35,000 feet, although it’s even a first for them to hold a festival on-board a flight.

Yesterday the airline chartered a flight for Culture Collide festival, which they are lead sponsors of, while at the same time holding their own musical spectacular – ‘I’m With the Band’.

The unique cross country flight saw rockstars, DJs and music fans travel to Los Angeles in style, with Penguin Prison treating passengers to an acoustic performance before of Montreal’s Kevin Barnes and the School of Seven Bells both laid down DJ sets.

The unique musical experience, which was made possible through the airline’s partnership with FILTER magazine, was the perfect way to kick off the four days of live music.

If you’d like to find out more about the festival, head over to the Culture Collide website. Alternatively, click onto the Virgin America website to book yourself a flight.
