Virgin births at 30,000ft

We had a Virgin birth on one of our planes over the weekend. Well done to all our the Virgin Atlantic team on board our flight from London to Johannesburg and congratulations to the new parents.

This isn't the first time a child has been born on board one of our flights. The first time a beautiful baby was born on a Virgin Atlantic plane was back in 2004.

Abimbola Eduwa and her husband named their baby Virginia after she was born at 30,000 feet on a flight from London to Lagos.

If that wasn't special enough, guess when the flight took place? That's right - Mother's Day.
