Virgin America Does Dallas Ft Worth

This week, Virgin America put the fun back in travel in North Texas.

Virgin America's inaugural flight from Los Angeles was celebrated with a truly active runway, filled with champagne & BBQ and a herd of majestic Texas longhorns!

Virgin America was long overdue to come for Dallas Ft Worth, which has not seen a new domestic airline enter its market in 5 years. That made it a perfect place for sexy little Virgin America to shake things up with its better product and better service.

As the dominant carriers' planes taxied around us, guests sidestepped the (longhorn and legacy) crap on the tarmac and climbed aboard Virgin America to enjoy stylish interiors, mood lighting, fleet-wide wifi, and the best entertainment system in the skies.

We then moved the party to downtown's Winspear Opera House, where we were treated to a performance by music's greatest mavericks, the legendary Texas outlaw Willie Nelson. Willie has written songs that defined generations ('Crazy' and 'Always On My Mind', and many other hits, including Patsy Cline's). A true American icon. I enjoyed quality time with Willie on his tour bus...and then danced onstage with flight crew.

Once again, the Virgin America staff outdid themselves and showed a new city what Virgin is all about. Texas, fly like a rock star, not like cattle!
