Presenting the Virgin Trophy

Huge congratulations to Claire Lomas for completing the Virgin London Marathon!
It was a real honour to be at the finishing line to present Claire with the Virgin Trophy to recognise her monumental achievement.
The Virgin Trophy is given to people who complete superhuman feats of endurance - and they don't come any more inspiring than Claire's.
The support of so many people along the way was an inspiration too, and it was great to see the Pearly King and Queen, members of the Household Cavalry, Matthew Pinsent and so many others at the finish line as well! The backing for Claire online and here in London over the past few weeks has shown her story has really captured the public's imagination.
A special mention has to go to Claire's husband Dan, who has been there with her every step of the way. I'm sure all of the money raised for Spinal Research will really make a difference too. Well done everyone!
