Paralympics pride

Like many people all over the world, I am greatly looking forward to experiencing the Paralympics over the coming 11 days.
The Paralympic Games challenges preconceptions about disability and perceptions of human possibility. It is also another fantastic platform for high-class sport - the athletes aren't being billed superhumans for nothing.
It will be particularly interesting to watch those sports that are exclusive to the Paralympics (goalball and boccia) and enjoy more incredible feats of athletic ability.
The Opening Ceremony, which is called 'Enlightenment’, is sure to be a celebration of the inspirational spirit of the Paralympic Games.
If it comes close to Danny Boyle's spectacular Olympic Opening Ceremony then it will be quite a show. Speaking of which, I wanted to share a very funny, if slightly cruel clip from the ceremony. Look out above from six minutes in for the tall man two rows back and to the right of the Queen. See what he does to be sure he's noticed!
